dr. Krassen Dimitrov president
Dr. Dimitrov is a multidisciplinary scientist and a serial entrepreneur. KD Innovations is his third start-up company. Previously, Dr. Dimitrov was Founder and Managing Director of Digital Diagnostics, Pty. Ltd—a spinout company from the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN) where Dr. Dimitrov was a Group Leader from 2006 until 2012. Prior to AIBN, he was the Founder and CTO of NanoString Technologies in Seattle, WA. Dr. Dimitrov founded NanoString Technologies to commercialize his invention of fluorescent nanobarcodes for single molecules. Prior to NanoString, Dr. Dimitrov was the Director of the Gene Expression Laboratory at the Institute for Systems Biology in Seattle, playing a significant role in the growth and formation of these institutions.
During his research career, Dr. Dimitrov has made many significant discoveries. Most importantly he pioneered and patented the barcodes for single-molecule detection, which are currently marketed by NanoString Technologies. More recently, Dr. Dimitrov invented and developed products for rapid and sensitive detection of proteolytic activities with handheld electronic devices. These products are currently in the process of clinical testing and commercialization by Exactus Diagnostics and will find applications in detection of fibrinolysis and metastatic degradation of extracellular matrices.
Dr. Dimitrov holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Baylor College of Medicine, and M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Sofia University.

Ms. Fiona Feng Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Feng is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and serves as the Chief Financial Officer of KD Innovations. Ms. Feng holds a B.A. degree from the National Cheng Kun University, and Executive MBA degree from the National Chiao Tung University.
She was also a Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley.
Ms. Feng holds various honorary positions and memberships: Chair of the NCKU Hsinchu Alumni Association, Director of the NCKU Foundation of Department of Accounting, Member of Chinese Association of Business and Intangible Assets Valuation, and Honorary Member of the Phi Tau Scholastic Honor Society of R.O.C.

dr. Ángel G. Miranda Director of Research and Development
Dr. Miranda, received a B.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering from the Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana, Honduras, in 2008. In Taiwan, he obtained a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Kun Shan University in 2010 and received a Ph.D. at the National Tsin Hua University in the Department of Power Mechanical Engineering in 2014.
Dr. Miranda’s academic research includes the mathematical characterization of dye sensitized solar cells, high power lithium ion batteries and thermoelectric chips. In addition, he developed analytical efficiency equations for power converters.
Melody Chiang Director of Operations
Melody Chiang holds a M.Sc. (2010) degree in Chemistry from Chung Yuan Christian University. Prior to joining KD Innovations, Ms. Chiang was in charge of Instrumental Analysis Experiment and General Chemistry Experiment at the Department of Chemistry at Chung Yuan Christian University.
